half of november = over

i've been looking forward to november for a while.

my calendar has been all marked up in november since...well...a few months.

wanna know why?

ok...lets go through my month so far..

NOVEMBER 1st: release of BurdaStyle Sewing Handbook!!!

what's so special about this book?

flip it the book open to page #84...i made skirt #7!

that's right. it's pretty much MY book.

find it for sale at barnes & noble, amazon, and other bookstores.

NOVEMBER 2nd: first anniversary of Café Sed! i have pictures posted on Facebook and wrote a little bit about how i feel about it on the Café Sed blog.

i also launched the new website on that day!

the site was design by Tyler Hoerr and it's awesome.

we kept it super simple and it's not quite completely finished, go check it out.

NOVEMBER 5th-14th: spontaneous Schick family trip to central illinois!

too many details to write on my blog...so i'll sum up.

if you don't care...then i'd skip this part. :]

friday the 5th - left magdalena at 1 a.m.

saturday - flew out of tucson early morning. picked up in st. louis by Ty & Sara. got lost. finally made it to morton and crashed.

sunday - washington church. Schick family night/baby shower(s) for Katy & Wendy.

monday - dad took us schick girls (all 8 of us!) out for lunch. shopping with sis-in-laws. thirty/thirty coffee on opening day. booya! baby shower at Jeff & Jada's for Katy.

tuesday - all 17 of us went to chicago. italian food. shedd aquarium. lil' bit of shopping. cheesecake factory. missed the train. but that's another story. next time you see me, ask & i'll tell you...it's rather entertaining.

wednesday - got home from chicago. finally! dentist appointment. lunch with Sara, Laura & Kara. roanoke for church.

thursday - breakfast with Wendi. eureka with Anna. mika's! bloomington. avanti's. ISU bible study & singing. stayed with Tessa.

friday - hung out with Tess pretty much all day. "Tangled" night at Billy & Jenny's.

saturday - shopping/hanging out with Sara & Jenny. Andy & Nichole's wedding. All Campus Worship at ISU. Pancakes at Tessa's house. Good times with friends. Late night.

sunday - peoria for church. steak n' shake with Rosie, Ross & Sophie. Hoerr's thanksgiving.

monday - gathered colorful leaves & with tears in my eyes left illinois.

i worked all day today & still haven't unpacked.

'cause unpacking is my least favorite part.

next week: Thanksgiving team! ...half the size of last year's team.
